We are excited to share our latest table in the Seasons Art de la Table series, a monthly celebration where thoughtful design, seasonal ingredients, and elevated ambiance come together. For June, we stepped away from metallics and minimalist forms and into something sun-drenched, textural, and nostalgic with our “Honey and Toast” gathering.
A Golden Mood Rooted in Simple Pleasures
Envision a table bathed in amber light, where tones of warm ochre, toasted grain, and soft caramel wrap the room in a slow, golden atmosphere. This month’s dinner was designed to embrace the everyday poetry of comfort. A tribute to the small, golden joys of life: the scent of toasted bread, the richness of honey, and the softness of summer light.
The table was a meditation on texture and warmth, where natural materials and wholesome tones created a sense of ease. Nothing too polished or posed — just thoughtful, beautiful elements that invited guests to relax, connect, and savour the moment.
Setting the Scene: Table Décor and Ambience
Inspired by our curated mood board that celebrates warm neutrals, handmade textures and golden hues, our table came together as a visual embrace of comfort and calm.
Buttery Base: A flax-toned linen tablecloth provided a soft, tactile canvas, setting the tone for the layers of warm, wheat-inspired colour.
Golden Accents: Amber-tinted glassware and tableware glowing softly against the dim lighting.
Wholesome Layers: Artisanal ceramics like vintage pottery, resin vases and customised napkin rings made the table feel organic.
The Culinary Journey
To accompany the golden ambiance and honest materials of the table, the menu leaned into comfort-led refinement — warm flavours, slow cooking, and a soft finish.
Pre-Dinner Cocktail: Honeyed Bourbon & Chamomile Fizz
A calming cocktail made with chamomile-infused bourbon, local honey, and sparkling water. Served over a single ice cube with a fresh chamomile bloom, it set the tone for a mellow, glowing experience.Starter: Whipped Ricotta with Warmed Honey & Grilled Sourdough
Creamy whipped ricotta topped with crushed pink peppercorns and thyme-infused honey, served with warm toasted pita bread. A textural, flavourful beginning.Main Course: Roast Chicken with Saffron, Apricots & Toasted Almonds
Golden roast chicken with sweet dried apricots, a saffron-honey glaze, and a sprinkle of almonds. Earthy, fragrant, and comforting — served with herbed bulgur wheat and bitter greens.Dessert: Arôme Honey Butter Toast
Baked brioche bread that is cooked untill golden brown in butter brown sugar and honey. Each bite a delicious sweet crunch; a final nod to the table’s theme of indulgent simplicity.
