For this four-storey family home in Notting Hill, our clients envisioned a complete renovation that would create a contemporary yet deeply welcoming house, designed around the rhythms of family life. The transformation brought together four bedrooms, two home offices, reception spaces, an open-plan kitchen, dining and living area, alongside a children’s playroom, cinema room, gym and terrace. Bespoke joinery was woven throughout the home, from the children’s work and play area to a custom-designed dining bench, creating thoughtful spaces that feel both practical and personal.

Drawing inspiration from the relaxed elegance of American interiors, the timeless character of Ralph Lauren, and the warmth of barn-style spaces, we created a transitional interior that blends classic English details with a more contemporary, modern sensibility. Soft creams, greens and blues are layered with natural oak and tactile fabrics, while stripes and pattern bring a sense of heritage and informality. Carefully chosen wallpapers add texture and depth throughout the home, while pops of red in the kitchen introduce a playful contrast and a touch of the unexpected. In the reception, blue accents echo the vivid tones of the Damien Hirst artwork, creating a considered connection between the art and interiors. The result is a home that feels fresh yet cosy, polished yet lived-in, a contemporary family sanctuary with warmth, character and a sense of ease.
